c.1930's-1940's Art Deco Lucite Circular Structured Handheld Serving Beverage Tray RARE This unique and rare serving tray is a beautiful Art Deco piece; providing a sophisticated way to serve guests and to display your finest offerings. Comprised of Lucite, this piece is structurally sound and in overall great condition for its age. Ability to carry this tray from an architecturally curved black handle, or by its intended translucent Lucite cube handle; connected by a silver-tone bead chain. Bead chain connector contains the following markings: "BEAD CHAIN" and "PAT. NO. 1,692,649. This design was documented and patented on November 20, 1928, by inventors Gilbert W. Goodridge and William J. Gagnon. Black Lucite handle is connected to circular Lucite base by 2 screws on each side. Two matching black Lucite accent pieces designed in accordance with handle position to act as legs of serving tray; allows for approximately .5" clearance off of a flat surface. A clear/translucent circular tray bottom is affixed into the groove of an opaque white circular Lucite frame. This unique piece would be ideal for those looking to display or serve guests in a formal setting for cocktail hour or a dinner party. Adds a special way to offer/serve specialties and interact with guests. Measurements: (*All measurements are close approximations. Additional measurements provided upon request) Total Height: 19" (from base to top of Lucite Cube handle) Height: 15.25" (from base to top of black Lucite Handle) Center height clearance: 13.5" (from clear tray base to black Lucite handle; taken at center of tray) Width: 11.75" (from one end of clear base tray to opposite end of clear base tray) Interior Circumference: 36.75" (interior tray circumference space) Exterior Circumference: 39" (exterior tray circumference) Condition: Small scratches/imperfections to clear base tray, opaque white Lucite circular structure and clear Lucite cube handle. Giant antique heavy art glass urn/factice/apothecary jar, with cap/topper and metal stand. Beautiful Art Deco decorative statement piece that can be used in a variety of ways; to display herbs and botanicals or scent an entire space. Simply fill the large glass structure with your favorite botanicals or fragrance, and keep the stopper inserted until you are ready to release some fresh fragrance.
