Good antique condition - wear to the luster glaze on the handle (as photographed) - minor chip to the base rim (possible firing flaw) - no cracks - no repairs.

This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver cream jug has a plain pear shaped form. The body of this silver cream jug is embellished with flat chased simplified leaf designs incorporating scrolling borders and scale motif panels, in the Rococo style. The decoration to the body incorporates an applied moulded border to the upper shaped rim and an impressive scrolling leaf design to the underside of the spout. The formation of this Edwardian piece reflects an early Georgian design and style often associated with the renowned silversmith Paul de Lamerie.
