A fine French 19th century Louis XV st. Sterling silver tureen from Maison Odiot, stamped PR - Maison ODIOT PRÉVOST & Cie. 1449 with its original fitted insert. The tureen displays a most charming and decorative shape with tied reeded handles at each side. The removable lid displays a richly chased and wonderfully executed choux-fleur top finial with detailed leaves and a fine tied reeded design at the rim.
