About the Item

Large Sevres porcelain gravy boat enhanced with fine gold ; fine early 19th century production, Restauration period (Empire style, Restauration production). Sevres Manufacture signatures and dates under the base (manufacturing mark and gilt stamp) show our piece was manufactured and gilt in 1820. The Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres is one of the main and most famous European porcelain factories ; it has been admitted as the finest porcelain manufacturer in France for almost 3 centuries. Beautiful collector in excellent condition. Gilt is very bright, no accident, probably barely used. Two identical units are available to make a set of 2 ; large format, ideal for a 12 guests or even more. Length : 28cm (11") Width : 16,5cm (6" 1/2) Height : 14,5cm (5" 3/4)
