The surface of the tongs are embellished with a paralleling undulating and wrigglework decorated border. The bridge of the tongs are further embellished with the bridge a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a unicon's head below a coronet. The pinching action of the tongs is guided to the medial point with a rectangular brace ornamented with engraved bud festoon designs to either side. These exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver asparagus server tongs have a rectangular rounded shaped form. The surface of the blades are embellished with a impressive bright cut engraved simplified scrolling leaf decoration with a suspended leaf festoon accented with a central floral motif. The plain tapering handle is embellished with an applied reed bordered stylised bud motif, reflecting a classic King's shape design.
