About the Item

This antique silver plated mechanical biscuit barrel is completely unsigned, but presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1920 and done in a Victorian style. This biscuiteer is shaped somewhat like an artichoke and has a ball handle and three triangular shaped drop down sections that each have a respective pierced cover. The sections have scallped outers with stylized raised scroll designs and are held in plate at the top with a simple ring and ball mechanism. The biscuit barrel stands on three raised feet and is very sturdy.
