This magnificent large antique Sheffield Plate tea/cider urn, made in England around 1800–1820, exemplifies the refined style of Matthew Boulton. Featuring an architectural form, this oval urn is adorned with striking Egyptian medallion handles and is supported by four lion caryatid columns with paw feet. The lift-top lid, adorned with a figural dolphin motif, mirrors the detailed dolphin figure at the base, emphasizing the artistry involved.  Standing at an impressive 18 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 13 inches deep, this urn is a testament to early 19th-century craftsmanship and design.
