About the Item

This antique silver plated dinner gong or bell is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from England and date to approximately 1900 and done in the period Edwardian style. The frame of the gong is done in a cast and silver plated brass with a small rest on which the hammer or striker lays. The bell itself could be nickel plated and hangs from a bracket on the frame. The frame itself and handle of the striker and cast in a figural twig or branch style. The bell has a good resonance when struck.
