About the Item
This antique silver plated berry server is made by either Richard Rugg or Robert Rew of England in approximately 1920 in a Victorian style. As you may be aware, these two silversmiths petitioned the assay office for exclusive use of the hallmark "RR", with no resolution making it somewhat difficult to discern the "RR" hallmarked pieces. This three piece set consists of a large footed server a shell shaped dish on either side, with a cradle for a creamer and sugar bowl on either side of the florally decorated loop handle. The server sits on four bun feet and all three pieces are clearly marked "RR" on their respective bases.
