About the Item

A VICTORIAN SILVERPLATED KETTLE, STAND AND LAMP Maker's mark on the base of Elkington & Co. Date letter "M" for 1873. Total height with handle up is 14 3/4" in. (37.5 cm.) Diameter of the kettle is 8 3/4" in. (22.20 m.) The kettle is globular, with scroll spout and cover, the shoulder chased with rocaille; the overhead scroll swing handle, the stand on three acanthus feet with scroll legs, the apron centering a removable burner. Overall in good condition, only few small indentation around the circumference. Hinged burner cover is missing and is replaced with a matching loose cover.
