This is an exquisite Georgian silver fob seal featuring a coat of arms described as follows: " In domino confido '' which would translate in English '' In god we trust ''

Following the passing of her husband, Hester Bateman, then 52 years old with a sizable family, took charge of his business. Recognized as Britain's premier silversmith, she ascended to prominence in 1760, steering the enterprise for three decades until her retirement in 1790. Bateman's mastery, celebrated for its radiant engravings and meticulously crafted edges, continues to be highly sought-after for its grace and precision.
