1900s, Edwardian Sterling Silver and Enamel Spoons
About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive set of six antique Edwardian English sterling silver and enamel spoons; an addition to our silver teaware collection
These exceptional antique Edwardian English sterling silver spoons have a plain rounded bowl.
The surface of each bowl is plain and unembellished, apart from the full hallmarks to the reverse.
The shaped stem of each spoon is enveloped with leaf decoration and terminates with a shield shaped terminal, each ornamented with an exceptional enamel panel pertaining to sporting events, including: billiards, football/soccer, golf, cricket, boules and field-shooting.
The interior of the rounded bowls and spoon terminals retain the original gilding.
The reverse surface of each stem bears the registration number 'RD NO 428151'.
These antique enamel and silver spoons are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
Condition
These antique enamel and silver spoons are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The enamel panels are in perfect condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each bowl are clear in keeping with age and location.

This magnificent and large antique Edwardian sterling silver presentation cup and cover has a Campania shaped form onto a circular spreading pedestal foot.
The lower bulbous portion of the silver cup is encircled with chased fluted ornamentation.
Either side of the plain upper portion of the body of this cup is embellished with an exceptional and large applied ribbon tied laurel branch wreath, replicating the border of a classic cartouche.
This impressive Edwardian presentation cup retains the impressive, original hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with an exceptional, fine and impressive cast sterling silver overlapping leaf and bud style finial.
The rim of this substantial cover is encompassed with an impressive applied egg and dart decorated border.
This antique cup and cover is fitted with two very impressive cast sterling silver handles modelled in the form of conjoined snakes, above a figural mask and Caduceus.
The pedestal is encompassed with a shaped alternating leaf decorated knop to the upper portion in junction with the body.
The circular domed spreading foot is encircled with a further band of chased fluted ornamentation.
