Antique 20th Century Edwardian Solid Silver Horse Stirrup Cup by Elkington & Co
About the Item
Antique early-20th Century Victorian solid silver stirrup cup, the head realistically cast as a horses head, with ears pricked, eyes wide open, plain collar and richly gilt interior. Victorian stirrup cups modelled as horse are extremely rare and sought. Tested (925 standard), London, circa 1901, Maker Elkington & Co, possibly a commissioned or exhibition piece.
