A magnificent Antique Charles II Lidded Tankard with a traditional straight sided tapered body. The Tankard has an large engraved armorial opposite a substantial scroll handle. The 17th century Tankard has a flat hinged lid with a curved thumb piece. Made in London, England in 1672 by IG (Possibly John Gibbs) Approx. Weight - 1012g / 32.54oz Approx. Height 17.8cm Approx. Diameter at Base - 14.4cm Approx. Width incl Handle - 21.3cm This Tankard has Full English Hallmarks on the body & Lid.
