A fine antique Georgian English sterling silver salver, part of our dining silverware collection.
This fine antique George III English sterling silver salver has an oval navette shaped form.
The well of the salver is encircled with a bright cut engraved band of dart style decoration with a bright cut engraved band of symmetrical interlacing decoration to the swept border.
The rim of the salver is encircled with applied bead decoration accented with applied leaf ornamentation to each terminal.
This fine Georgian salver is supported by four impressive bracket style batwing, palmette and bead decorated feet.
Condition
This antique salver is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of this silver salver are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
