Art Deco Period Sterling Silver Engine Turned Cigarette Case

About the Item

Art Deco, sterling silver cigarette case with gilt interior and hinged lid, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1927, W.T. Toghill and Co., Ltd. - makers. Sterling silver is engine turned in design. Vacant cartouche. When closed, cigarette case measures 2 3/4 inches wide x over 3 1/4 inches deep x 1/2 inch high (when lying flat). Weighs 2.3 troy ounces. Elastic band that was meant to hold cigarettes in place is in excellent condition. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In good antique condition.
