The upper parts are finely engraved with sumptuous neoclassical decoration: Musical instruments, doves, ribbons, flowers, foliage. A cherub playing flute for the knife and a cherub playing the trumpet for the server. The ferrules and collars have lovely confections with garlands of flowers.
