A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a shaped pedestal to a plain rounded knop and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with an applied cartouche pertaining to the London Athletic Club accented with a uncial-style typeface and incorporating the motto 'Vincit Qui Patitur' - Who Endures, Wins, in addition to. Either side of the goblet features a cast and applied wing, each with ornamentation reproducing the details of the plumage. The upper rim of the vessel is encompassed with an applied moulded border. A beautiful Antique Victorian solid Silver Inkstand with two fitted glass lined Inkwells and a removable taper candlestick. The body of the inkwell has an elegant pierced design on the sides mirrored on the bodies of the inkwells. The base of the Inkstand has an ornate engraved design and a sunken recess to hold pens.
