Engine Turned Silver Hip Flask, Hallmarked London 1878.
About the Item
Superb silver covered glass flask with maker's mark for Walter Thornhill. Hallmarked London 1878. The body of the flask is topped with a cork lined stopper that is on a hinged bayonet closer. A silver removable cup, that slides off when required, covers the lower half of the body and the silver covering the top half has 'fill check' windows front and back. The silver has a spectacular engine turned finish.
Dimensions: 14.5 cm/5¾ inches (height) x 8 cm/3⅛ inches (width) x 3.75 cm/1½ inches (thick).
