Victorian Georgian sterling silver salver. Made by William Hutton & Sons, Ltd in Sheffield in 1898. Round shaped well, engraved with dense ornament: Palmettes surrounded by scrollwork and flowers. Center has star cartouche (vacant). Molded curvilinear rim interspersed with leaves. Four hoof supports. Fancy and opulent. Fully marked. Heavy weight: 52 troy ounces.
