A fine and impressive antique George III English sterling silver lemon strainer; an addition to our range of collectable Georgian silverware
This fine antique George III English sterling silver lemon strainer has a plain circular rounded form.
The bowl of the strainer is embellished with pierced decorated circular geometric motifs with an applied moulded border to the rim.
This Georgian lemon strainer is fitted an impressive handle ornamented with an opposing scrolling leaf incurved handpiece.
This antique strainer is a very good example of its type.
Condition
This antique lemon strainer is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition. Full hallmarks to the surface of the bowl are not clear; the nature of this piece dictates the location of the hallmarks, resulting in the maker's mark and date letter being illegible.

This exceptional antique Georgian silver fish slice / pudding trowel, in sterling standard, has a spade shaped blade.
The shaped blade is embellished with impressive, finely pierced and engraved scrolling branch ornamentation segmented with simplified leaf festoon style borders.
The centre of the blade is further ornamented with a heron perched on a branch, with a fish in its upturned beak.
The cast and applied handle is embellished with impressive heart shaped bolster, encompassed with gadroon ornamentation.

This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver tea caddy has a cylindrical form.
The upper and lower portions of this Aesthetic style silver tea caddy is embellished with bands of bright cut engraved floral bud designs; further vertical bands segment the body into five equal portions, each encompassed with undulating wrigglework borders.
The anterior portion of the body is ornamented with a bright cut engraved rectangular cut cornered cartouche encompassed with a radiating simplified floral and scrolling foliate decoration and featuring the contemporary engraved crest of a lion's head collared and erased.
The further four segments bear Chinoiserie bright cut engraved Chinese symbols representing the four seasons: spring (? / chun), summer (? / xia), autumn (? / qiu) and winter (? / dong).
This antique silver tea caddy retains the original hallmarked flush hinged cover; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece.
