About the Item

A large sterling silver model of a male golden pheasant, made in Germany and bearing import hallmarks for London, 1924. The model is finely detailed and the silver game bird has clear glass eyes. The body and legs are of cast construction while the tail feathers have been crafted from sheet silver and then hand chased to give a realistic and lifelike finish. Berthold Muller was one of the greatest animal model makers and this is a wonderful example of his work. Weight 27 troy oz (842g)
