Old English Feather-Edge Pattern Serving or Salad Fork, London 1773 by William Tuite. This is a beautiful Georgian fork with clear William Tuite hallmarks. The fork has crisp, bright-cut feather edging on the handle. Adding to the beauty of this large fork is the finely engraved crest of a rampant eagle. The makers mark, W.T, is for William Tuite. In the Parliamentary Return of 1773, he was recorded as a plate worker of Great Queen Street, Lincoln’s Inn. The fork weighs 108.1 grams.
