Pair Of 5-Flame Art Deco Silver Candelabras, Bruckmann & Sons Germany, Ca 1930

About the Item

Two elegant five-flame candleholders on an octagonal stepped foot with pearl band border, raised in the centre and opening into a shaft with octagonal cross-section, octagonal bead ring in the lower area of the shaft, widening wall and forming a pedestal for the armpiece with central spout, four curved volute arms, attached, unscrewable vase-shaped spouts, wide eaves bowls with pearl band rim, the octagonal shape continuing here in every detail. Crescent + crown - German imperial silver hallmark from 1888 800 - silver fineness Eagle Brand - Master's sign BRUCKMANN & SONS, Silver goods factory, Heilbronn, established 1805, Peter Bruckmann (1865-1937) was the first chairman of Deutscher Werkbund, founded in 1907. The Bruckmann company produced numerous precious silver objects designed by well-known designers. The company existed until 1973.
