About the Item
A pair of sterling silver Tazza, made by Meriden Britannia, Co./International Silver Co. This set of Palladiant Modern Tazza compotes in sterling silver have been coated in platinum and feature green aventurine carved bands. We see this rare set of compotes featured on a console, center hall or dining table standing alone or with a small bouquet of fresh flowers or holding candies making a bold statement.
Meridan produced this pattern in Meriden, Connecticut for only one year. They only produced for one year because of the cost. The Meriden Brittana Company was formed in 1852 in Meriden, Connecticut. Their designs are included in many museum collections including the Brooklyn Museum in New York, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England and other noted museums around the world.
This set is stamped on the underside STERLING, the Meriden Mark and AT 2782-1W PALLADIANT.
