Hallmarked in London in 1842 & 1844 by Robert Garrard II, this very rare pair of graduated Antique Sterling Silver Wine Coasters, feature pierced sides, silver bases, and engraved coats of arms to each. The larger magnum bottle coaster (hallmarked 1844) measures 3.75"(8cm) tall, by 6.25"(16cm) in diameter, and the smaller coaster measures 3"(7.5cm) by 5.25"(13.5cm).
The crest is likely that of the Day family.

This exceptional Victorian sterling silver plate has a plain circular shaped form with a plain circular central well.
The well of this fine antique plate is plain and unembellished.
The shaped border is ornamented with a fine and impressive contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting hand holding birds' leg erased a` la quise (at the thigh) all above the motto 'Nescit vox missa reverti' - word once spoken can never be recalled. .
The border is further embellished with impressive applied scrolling leaf and floral motifs to each incurve.

A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver double coaster trolley; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection.
This magnificent, fine and impressive antique silver coaster trolley has been crafted in the form of a carriage.
The body of each coaster is embellished with fine and impressive cast scrolling fruiting vine decoration extending to the upper shaped rim; this ornamentation includes vines, foliage and grape clusters.
The body of each exceptional coaster is further embellished with three contemporary bright cut engraved crests, each depicting an armoured arm embowed beneath a coronet.
The pair of fine and impressive coasters are set upon an undercarriage which is fitted with impressive cast spoked wheels; the exceptional larger rear wheels indicate the fine quality of this superior example.
The anterior portion of this exceptional double coaster trolley has been designed to pivot on an axle; the trolley is fitted with a swivelling handle, enabling the magnificent example to be rolled and turned.
