Heading : Samuel Pemberton novelty purse vinaigrette Date : Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1830 for Samuel Pemberton Period : William IV Origin : Birmingham, England Decoration : In the form of a purse with chased foliate design. Parcel gilt interior with naturalistic grille Size : 3x2.3x0.8cm Condition : The hinge of the grille has broken, the grille is still solid when in place although it lifts of completely rather than swinging on the hinge. Otherwise excellent. Restoration : None Weight : 13 grams
