Heading : Sterling silver brandy pan by Peter and Ann Bateman Date : Hallmarked in London 1804 Period : George III Origin : London, England Decoration : Reeded flared base. Turned wooden handle Size : Diameter 9.7 cm, pint capacity without overfilling Condition : Excellent, very heavy gauge and the handle is secure. Minimal signs of wear Restoration : None Weight : 213g Excellent condition and very useable, perfect for dousing the Christmas pudding and enough brandy left over to serve a table of six ! Peter bateman was the son of Hester Bateman, the greatest lady silversmith of the 18th century.
