A Lovely Silver Mezuzah Case made in Israel in the 2nd half of the 20th Century.
Uniquely made mezuzah case is triangular shaped and tapers downward to a point at its lower end on which an applied mold of four myrtle leaves are growing from branches stemming outward and upward
Facing the front on its upper half a prominent letter "Shin" is displayed which is commonly found on mezuzah cases.
A ring applied at its lower end and a small loop at its upper end on a triangular flat surface is used for hanging the mezuzah on a person's doorway in their home.
Marked and signed CH.W. on the back of its upper half.

Completely handmade this "lidded vase" has been embossed with scrolls which make it typically in the Baroque style.
Masterfully executed, this vase among superlative embossing has been knurled, i.e. tapped thousands of times with a very small hammer, making the embossing evident and creating a perfect chromatic contrast.
The lid has the same design and workmanship.
The important knob was made with the fusion technique to then be screwed and therefore detachable for cleaning the vase.
