About the Item

An extraordinary and intricately crafted silver and gold-accented model of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem, created by renowned Israeli Judaica artist Shuki Freiman, circa 2010. This monumental and architectural masterpiece fuses traditional Jewish symbolism with meticulous craftsmanship and is built with an innovative design of Kever Rachel, the (Ma'arat Hamchpela) Machpelah Cave, and Jerusalem’s Old City. The model is inspired by the Second Temple in Jerusalem, its structure meticulously formed with gleaming hammered and engraved silver panels, creating the illusion of finely dressed stonework throughout. The central building features a majestic columned entrance, crowned with a gleaming gold-gilt pediment and flanked by elegant side chambers topped with gilded domes, each surmounted by stylized crown-like finials. A prominent central golden dome rises above the main structure, emphasizing the spiritual and visual core of the design. This is not a simple ornamental object—it is a multi-functional ceremonial treasure chest. Ingeniously concealed within the temple’s chambers are an array of ritual Judaica items, each housed in hidden compartments: a pair of Shabbat candleholders, a Besamim (spice) container, a Hanukkah lamp, a charity (tzedakah) box, Yahrzeit candle holders, Silver shot cups, a sculptural, column-shaped Havdalah candleholder, and a matching silver beaker. The temple rests on a square silver-topped platform, itself set into a wood base fitted with a rotating Lucite display, allowing full 360° viewing within its custom clear protective case. This design not only highlights the aesthetic appeal but offers practicality and preservation. Crafted in extremely limited numbers, this model represents one of the finest modern expressions of Jewish ceremonial art and architecture. It stands as a majestic centerpiece—ideal for display in any prominent Judaica collection or silver cabinet. Shuki Freiman, a seventh-generation Jerusalemite, founded his Judaica workshop in 1967. Internationally acclaimed, his works blend traditional Jewish themes with exquisite silver artistry, celebrated for both their spiritual resonance and technical brilliance.
