Sterling Repousse Ladle
About the Item
Being offered is a sterling silver soup ladle in the “Repousse” pattern by S. Kirk and Son of Baltimore. “Repousse” was and remains until today the companies most famous pattern. It was received so well in 1828, the makers decided to make it in a full-line of hollowware. Candlesticks, trays, bowls and any other objet d’art were made in this beautiful and rich design. Flowers and foliage come together in this elaborate pattern.
