About the Item

A beautifully preserved English sterling silver cruet set, crafted in 1928 by W. Neale & Sons of Birmingham, England. The set, housed in its original fitted presentation box with a satin and velvet interior, includes a salt shaker, an open salt cellar with a spoon, and a mustard pot with a matching spoon. Each piece is designed in a timeless and refined style, showcasing the elegance of restrained craftsmanship. The mustard pot features a delicately arched handle and a domed, hinged lid adorned with a small rounded finial. It opens smoothly to reveal a pristine interior, likely once meant to hold traditional English mustard. The salt shaker has a classic baluster form with a removable, pierced top, while the salt cellar is open and rounded, perfectly complemented by its accompanying spoon. All three vessels are unified by a simple yet elegant gadroon border that encircles the upper edge, lending a subtle decorative flourish to the otherwise sleek and undecorated surfaces. The high-polish finish reflects light beautifully, emphasizing the sterling’s purity and the meticulous care these pieces have received over the decades. Each piece remains in mint condition, a remarkable testament to the enduring quality of British silversmithing in the early 20th century.
