About the Item
Beautiful pair of Victorian Period, neoclassical-style, sterling silver Corinthian column candlesticks, made in the city of Sheffield, England, year-hallmarked for 1898, Hawksworth, Eyre and Co., Ltd.- makers. Base of each candlestick is decorated with garlands. Underside of each candlestick is covered in green felt. Each candlestick measures 6 1/2 inches high x 4 inches wide (at widest point - across base) x 4 inches deep (at deepest point - across base). Candlesticks are weighted. There are some very small dints on the fluted areas of the columns (see photos) that are commensurate with age and use. Dark areas in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
