Victorian Period, sterling silver tea caddy with hinged lid, Birmingham, England, year-hallmarked for 1891, Stokes and Ireland, Ltd. - makers. Lovely design, having a square pedestal base and rounded corners. Measures 4 1/2 inches high (to top of finial) x 4 1/4 inches wide (at widest point) x 4 1/4 inches deep (at deepest point). Weighs 7.325 Troy ounces. Interior is lightly gilded. Dark areas on sterling silver in photos are reflections. In excellent antique condition.
