Whisky Carafe With Silver Mount And Stopper, by Topázio, Portugal, 20th Century
About the Item
Simple, elegant carafe made of clear glass in the shape of a cube on a square base, pyramid-shaped raised wall at the top and ending in a round neck, encased in a smooth silver mount with a funnel-shaped flared rim, matching glass stopper with silver-plated spherical handle, polished pontil with radial ray cut on the underside.

founded in 1874 by Manuel José Ferreira Marques as Ferreira Marques & Irmão in Porto. After his death in 1930, his sons took over the management of the company, and in 1934 the Topázio brand was founded in honor of their
mother's favorite stone - topaz. The company still exists today.
