1744, Antique Sterling Silver Hash Spoon by James Wilks

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver Hanoverian pattern hash spoon; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional antique George II sterling silver spoon has been crafted in the Hanoverian pattern. The posterior surface of the antique silver spoon handle terminal is embellished with the contemporary engraved initials 'DDM'; there are some further initials which have wear in keeping with age and use. The reverse of the spoon features a double drop heel to the bowl. The anterior surface bears a pip to the handle terminal. Condition This antique sterling silver hash spoon is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.The spoon has some surface wear in keeping with age. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handle are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
