18 inch Large Antique Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Enamel Charger Naturalistic Crane

About the Item

An extra large antique Japanese Meiji era enamel over brass charger plate. The plate is enameled with a polychrome image of naturalistic cranes in blossoming flowers and trees on blue ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The border is decorated with polychrome floral, foliage and geometrical motifs made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside is adorned with a swirl pattern, and a floral design, made using the same technique. Circa: late 19th century Attributed to GOTO Dimensions: D 17 3/4 in. All measurements are approximate. Condition Overall good vintage condition. Signs of age and wear. Refer to photos.
