Large Antique Japanese Meiji Enamel Dragon Charger

A large antique Japanese Meiji period cloisonne enamel charger. The central motif of this charger consists of two dragons, a common and powerful symbol in Asian culture. These dragons are depicted in a fierce and dynamic dueling posture, with intricate scales, sinuous bodies, and sharp claws, all rendered in brilliant colors. The chargers size and level of detail make it a commanding and visually striking piece. Circa the early 20th century. Antique Japanese Enamel Chargers For Collectors. Dimensions: D 14 in.
