An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver three piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional vintage Elizabeth sterling silver three piece condiment set consists of a salt, pepper pot and mustard pot. The pieces of this fine silver condiment set have an oval shaped form. The surface of each piece is encompassed with two pierced decorated borders accented with scrolling motifs, in addition to central engraved foliate festoon designs. The decoration to the each body incorporates a vacant oval cartouche to one side and a pierced decorated urn motif to the other. The upper rim of each piece is ornamented with an undulating applied bead decorated border. The mustard pot is fitted with a scrolling C shaped sterling silver handles with a plain elevated thumpiece. The mustard pot has a hinged hallmarked plain domed cover. The pepper pot is fitted with a push fit hallmarked domed cover with pierced 'pepper' holes. The covers to the mustard pot and pepper pot are surmounted by sterling silver classic urn style finials. Each salt and mustard pot is fitted with the original, removable blue glass liner. The set is presented with the an Onslow pattern mustard spoon and salt spoon. This vintage silver condiment set with blue liners is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and secures with two hinged catches. Condition The pieces of this vintage sterling silver condiment set are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The applied and pierced decoration is all very sharp and the engraved decoration is very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the pepper and underside of the mustard and salt, in addition to the reverse of each spoon and part hallmarks to the covers are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage George VI English sterling silver Art Deco style three piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our vintage silverware collection. This exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver three-piece condiment set consists of a salt, a pepper pot and a mustard pot. The pieces of this fine silver condiment set have a plain cylindrical tapering form onto a circular foot. The surface of each piece is embellished with concentric bands of tooled decoration, all in the iconic Art Deco style. The mustard pot is fitted with an angular handle with a plain upper plateau. The mustard pot retains the original hinged hallmarked domed cover, ornamented with tiered concentric circular decoration and surmounted with an Art Deco style tapering cylindrical finial. The pepper pot is fitted with a push fit cover with pierced 'pepper' holes. The salt and mustard pot are fitted with removable blue glass liners. This vintage silver condiment set is supplied with associate salt and mustard spoons. These fine examples of vintage silverware are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with two hinged catches. The interior of the box bears the retailer's mark 'By Appointment, Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield & London' and each component of the condiment set bears the retailer's mark 'Mappin & Webb Ltd, Sheffield & London'. The exceptional condiment set will have been crafted in the same year, but due to the hallmarking system the mustard pot is struck with the date letter 'D', whereas the pepper and salt bear the date letter 'E'. This exceptional antique Victorian English sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and two condiment shakers. The shakers have a circular rounded form to a circular pedestal foot and the mustard pot has an oval form onto four bun style feet. The surface of each component is encircled with impressive pierced decoration, comprising interlacing arch and oval designs accented with circular motifs. The upper and lower portion of the mustard pot is further embellished with a gadroon decorated border, and the posterior surface bears a shaped sterling silver handle.
