Extensive service of 19th century 81 piece Copeland Spode tablewares, with patterned borders and red-lined rims, with impressed marks for Copeland Spode. Consisting of : 22 x Dinner plates 15 x Luncheon plates 11 x Side plates 8 x Soup Plates 1 x Lidded soup tureen on platter 1 x Lidded tureens 4x Small lidded vegtable on platters 2 x Gravy Jug 2x Ex Large serving platter 2 x Large serving platter 2 x Meduim serving platter 1x small serving platter 3x Smaller serving platter 1 x Cake platters 1x Salad dish Condition: In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation. Dimensions in cm: Height 50 cm x Width 39 cm x Depth 7 cm  - Largest plater Dimensions in inches: Height 1 foot, 8 inches x Width 1 foot, 3 inches x Depth 3 inches - Largest plater Spode is a Stoke-on-Trent based pottery company that was founded by Josiah Spode (1733–1797) in 1770.  Josiah Spode earned renown for perfecting under-glaze blue transfer printing in 1783–1784 – a development that led to the launch in 1816 of Spode's Blue Italian range which has remained in production ever since. Josiah Spode is also often credited with developing a successful formula for fine bone china. Whether this is true or not, his son, Josiah Spode II, was certainly responsible for the successful marketing of English bone china. Today Spode is owned by Portmeirion Group, a pottery and homewares company based in Stoke-on-Trent. Many items in Spode's Blue Italian and Woodland ranges are made at Portmeirion Group's factory in Stoke-on-Trent. Our reference: A4402
