An antique Georg Jensen silver mustard pot, design #236 by Georg Jensen from circa 1917. Mustard pot stands on a stem of four leaves, an acorn is hidden underneath. Rope edge to the foot and upper body and topped with a floral finial. Additional information: Material: Silver Styles: Art Nouveau Hallmarks: Antique Georg Jensen hallmarks and date stamped 1919, also marked with period Swedish import marks. Dimensions: 4 1/8″ in height x 3 1/8″ in diameter at the widest point (10.5cm, 8cm). Condition: Excellent vintage condition

    A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design.
