About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver salt and pepper pots made by Christopher Nigel Lawrence; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection.
These impressive vintage silver salt and pepper pots, in sterling standard, have a circular rounded, swept form.
The upper portion of the salt and pepper pots feature applied silver gilt textured designs, embellished with corresponding elucidating pierced holes to the upper plateau.
The lower portion of each item is plain and unembellished.
Both the salt pot and pepper pot retain the original, screw fit stoppers to the underside of the bases.
This exceptional set, made in the Design style, has been crafted by the collectable silversmith Christopher Nigel Lawrence.
Condition
These vintage silver salt and pepper pots are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each body and cover are all very clear.

These exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver condiment set consists of a salt Shaker, a pepper Shaker and two spoons. The pieces of this silver and enamel salt and pepper set have been realistically modelled in the form of soft boiled eggs in egg cups. Each condiment Shaker is ornamented with an enamel eggshell design with the top portion 'cracked' away to reveal the pierced salt and pepper holes; the upper portion of the pepper retains the original gilding. The enamel and silver egg covers detach from a bayonet style fitment to a brown enamel decorated egg cup; once the cover is removed it can be determined the pieces were commissioned to be used as functional egg cups. The spoons have circular rounded bowls to plain waisted stems and terminate with cast finials encircled with scalloped borders and circular motifs, accented with initial 'M' to one and 'N' to the other. These vintage silver and enamel salt and pepper set are fitted to the original hinged crimson leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and secures with two hinged catches.
