Collection of salt and pepper shakers

About the Item

Very rare collection of salt and pepper shakers in various shapes and materials, including silver, glass, and opaline. The first pair of salt shakers is made of finely chiseled silver and blue glass. They have no stamps but are assumed to be Russian-made. A splendid detail is the central obelisk between the two salt racks that serves as a grip for displacement. Dimensions: h. 13cm - l. 14cm - d. 7cm The second pair consists of a silver lower part that starts in a circular base and winds through the stem via a snake of extraordinary invention that ends in the support of a teal-colored glass bowl. Dimensions: h. 12cm - d. 8cm The third pair is white opaline glass with brightly colored floral decorations. The two salt shakers have an almond-shaped base. They are speculated to be of French or Venetian manufacture. Dimensions: h. 4cm - l. 9cm - d. 5cm The last pair consists of a multi-hole salt shaker and a single-hole pepper pot. They are made of silver and are in the shape of two Doric columns. Dimensions: h. 4cm - l. 2.5cm (square base)
