About the Artist Raymond Camart (b.1908 - d.1980) Of Norman origin and from a family of sculptors, Ray Camart developed his artistic skills in staff. In 1929 he participated in the Universal Exhibition in Barcelona where he created decorations for monument facades. Towards the end of the war, he was a foreman at the Golf-Juan ceramics factory where he created molds for the production of ceramics, particularly those for bottles for Grasse perfumes. He settled around the 1945s in a workshop in Vallauris, before opening two ceramic production workshops in Mougins and Antibes. His work is presented each year at the ceramics fair in Paris.
