Work tray used by Japanese lacquerware craftsmen/1900-1960/Beautiful marble patt
About the Item
This is an old tray used by Japanese lacquerware craftsmen.
It is thought that this tray was used to mix colors when applying lacquer.
Probably from the 1900s to the 1960s.
After this tray was no longer in use, someone else polished the surface and repainted the backside black, and it began to be used as a serving tray.
Since the red and black are layered in many layers, the unique marble pattern emerges by polishing and polishing.
It's very beautiful and artistic.
It's also nice to display on the wall.
Also, although the surface is uneven, there is no problem when placing things such as cups on it.
The tray is easy to use because it is not warped.
It feels a little heavy because the lacquer is applied thickly.
For cleaning, wipe with water or lukewarm water without using detergent.
This is a rare item that is difficult to obtain.
This is a recommended item.
Weight: 650g
