Work board used by a lacquer craftsman/20th century/Like an abstract painting

About the Item

We have a unique Japanese aesthetic sense. And only we can introduce unique items through our purchasing channels in Japan and the experience we have gained so far, in such a way that no one else can imitate. This item is a workbench used by lacquer craftsmen. It is thought that originally there was a drawer attached to the bottom of this board as a workbench. However, that part has been removed and only this board remains today. The top plate was used to spread the lacquer, adjust the amount, and knead it. By using it for many years, the colors will overlap in many layers, giving it a deep beauty. It looks like an abstract painting. This board is thought to have been made around the 20th century. There are grooves carved into the back of this board so you can easily hang it on the wall. It is flat with almost no warping. It seems to be in relatively good condition. The number of tools used by lacquer craftsmen is decreasing year by year. This is a rare item. You cannot get the same pattern twice. Highly recommended. Weight: 4.2kg
