About

This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver three-piece bachelor tea set has been modelled in the Queen Anne style. The lower portion of the teapot, swan neck spout, cream jug and sugar bowl are embellished with embossed fluted decoration. The upper portion of each piece of this Queen Anne tea service is plain and unembellished. The teapot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover, which also features fluted decoration. The cover is surmounted by the original carved painted wood and sterling silver fluted, cushion shaped finial. The teapot retains the original angular carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. The cream jug and sugar bowl have plain angular sterling silver handles ornamented with plain moulded decoration. The sugar bowl and cream jug retain the original gilded interior.
