Brass Teapot, Regency England 1820s
About the Item
A striking teapot in brass with handle in wood. 1820s Regency England, during first the regency of the Prince of Wales as a result of his father's mental illness and the later reign of the aforementioned prince as George IV. The period, with its political, economic and cultural flourishing, was immortalized in the works of Jane Austen and Lord Byron.
With a refined design and use of material, this teapot makes for a charming addition to any table. The refined simplicity in its use of form highlights the materiality of the piece, which is complimented by the patinated handle with its charming lion decor.
