The Puiforcat legacy began in 1820, when Emile Puiforcat founded his eponymous silversmith workshop in Paris. Emile was inspired by the rich heritage of French craftsmanship and sought to revive the art of silver-smithing, which had faced decline during the tumultuous period of the French Revolution. Jean Elysee Puiforcat is the founder of the art deco style and is known as the "Father of Art Deco". The magnificent teapot measures roughly 14.50 cm. high to the top of the lid, approximately 24.50 cm. across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle and weights 900 grams. It is stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark (certifying a minimum of 950 silver) as well as the "Puiforcat" manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark and is stamped "Puiforcat Paris" on the underside. It comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage. The amazing Coffee Pot measures roughly 20.50 cm. high to the top of the lid, approximately 17.00 cm. across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle and weights a massive 765 grams. It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark as well as the "Puiforcat" sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark and is also stamped "Puiforcat Paris" on the underside. It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage. The elegant sugar bowl measures roughly 8.50 cm. high to the top of the lid, approximately 10.50 cm. in diameter and weights 400 grams. It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark as well as the "Puiforcat" sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark and is stamped "Puiforcat Paris" on the underside. It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage. The majestic milk / water pitcher measures roughly 18.50 cm. high, approximately 17.00 cm. across from the tip of the spout ot the end of the handle and weights 650 grams. It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark as well as the "Puiforcat" sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark and is stamped "Puiforcat Paris" on the underside. It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage. The elegant cream pitcher measures approximately 10.00 cm. high, roughly 10.50 cm. across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle and weights 217 grams. It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark as well as the "Puiforcat" sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark and is stamped "Puiforcat Paris" on the underside. It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage. The massive accompanying serving tray measures approximately 64.00 cm. in length to the tips of it's handles, roughly 40.50 cm. across at its widest point and weights and astounding 2.6+ kilograms. It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark but the manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark is illegible but looks like "Tetard Frères". It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage.
