Russian vermeil and blue enamel vodka set Russian, 20th Century Decanter: Height 29cm, diameter 8cm Cup: Height 8.5cm, diameter 4cm This Russian drinking set was crafted during the Soviet period from cloisonné enamel and vermeil. The set is comprised of eight pieces: a decanter with a stopper, six cups, and a tray. The decanter is bulbous in form, with a spreading foot and a long and slender neck, while each of the cups features a knopped vermeil stem. The surfaces throughout are profusely adorned with cloisonné enamel designs of flowers and abstracted foliage, all executed in shades of blue. The pieces are marked '916' and Cyrillic letters 'LF8'.
